Mini Ductless split air conditioners
employ large cooling capacities and powerful heat pumps. Mini Splits AC's have two units: the compressor which sits outside the home, and the air handler which is placed inside. Like all air conditioners, you need to know how many BTUs are required to cool or heat your application space. Mini split's are very quiet and efficient, but they are more expensive than a window or portable air conditioner. Since they're ductless, the mini split AC avoids energy losses associated with the ductwork of central forced air systems.
